Rustpunt Atelier Esmé

A Rest Point offers the opportunity for a short stop with coffee, tea, or lemonade with some treats, for residents in the countryside of Salland. The Rest Points are clearly marked by a Rest Point sign and are open when the 'open' sign is displayed.

Since 2006, when we moved there, Atelier Esmé has opened the garden for passing cyclists and pedestrians. Behind the house and the studio lies a beautifully landscaped garden with a pond and ducks, which made us think of sharing this with others.
On open days, there are also some small art items displayed outside, and interested visitors can take a look in the exhibition area of Atelier Esmé.
There is the opportunity to have a cup of coffee or tea, lemonade, an ice cream, or a cake or pie, as long as supplies last, for a fee of €1 each.
Enjoying the beauty and tranquility of nature, art, and culture are paramount!

Sculpting, ceramics, and a 'nature-promoting line' are the main themes of Atelier Esmé. In sculpting and ceramics, responses are often made to significant events, changes, or opinions regarding our functioning as people living in this society. Everything is abstractly represented in different types of stone and clay; it can lead to conversations in the garden, accompanied by a delicious cup of coffee or something similar.
