The Wetering pumping station has special cultural-historical value. This is evident from the set-up of the dewatering installation, among other things. The pumping station drains two polders, viz. Wetering-east and Wetering-west. The two polders are connected to each other by a sub-leader. The water is sucked in from two sides and discharged into the basin at 45 degrees. Furthermore, the building has special architectural features. This is evident from sandstone ornaments of fish, a coat of arms of the former Vollenhove water board and numerous other architectural features.
