The Frisian Lakes is a tourist area in the southwest and middle of Friesland. Especially in the summer, the area attracts many water sports enthusiasts. The highlight of the water sports season in this area is the Sneekweek.
Most Frisian lakes are located in the so-called Southwest Corner, but the lakes near Grouw and Eernewoude are usually also considered part of the area.
