Station Rhenen is a railway station in Rhenen located on the old railway line Kesteren - Amersfoort and since its reopening in 1981 on the Veenendaal line.
The first station of Rhenen was opened on February 18, 1886, on the Amersfoort – Kesteren railway line. The railway line was in a deep cutting, over which a brick viaduct was built. Just after the station, there was a railway bridge over the Lower Rhine. On July 7, 1888, the crossings and the transfer track of the Ooster Stoomtram Maatschappij were put into use. Later, various small changes took place. In 1900, the second platform received a shelter and the ancillary building was enlarged. Some switches in the sidings were changed. The crossing in the main track to and from Kesteren was replaced in 1905 by a half-English switch, making it possible to also move from track 2 to 1. In 1909, a full-English switch was made, allowing trains from Kesteren to enter on track 3.
