Singer Museum Laren

Singer Laren (in full: Stichting Singer Memorial Foundation), is an enterprising, private, cultural foundation, founded in 1954 by Anna Singer-Brugh, the widow of the American painter William Henry Singer Jr. The foundation manages the estate of the Singer couple, consisting of a collection of more than 3,000 works of art, a museum, a theater and their former home with garden, Villa The Wild Swans.

The foundation is located in Laren, North Holland. Museum, Theatre and the rental of accommodation are the central activities of Singer Laren. In its collection and presentation policy, the museum concentrates on visual art from the period 1880-1950. Around and in the theatre, Singer Laren organises a cultural programme that provides a wide and varied range of performing arts for the wider region. Singer Laren has a large crowd of enthusiastic patrons.

All activities in Singer Laren together attract approximately 150,000 visitors every year.

Tuesday to Sunday from 11:00 to 17:00.
Monday 24, 31 December extra open.
Closed on Tuesday 1 January.
