Miste is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Gelderland. As of 1 January 2021, the hamlet has 530 inhabitants and an area of almost 11 km². Miste is located southwest of Winterswijk and has a wooded area in the east. The primary school of Miste is shared with the smaller Corle. Primary school is not the only thing that is shared. For example, football club MEC is also shared between the two hamlets. In the past, the inhabitants mainly lived from agriculture, but at the beginning of the 21st century that is clearly a lot less. Nowadays Miste has a large number of campsites. Miste enjoys some fame among geologists in the Netherlands and abroad. The area is a paleontological site rich in shells and shark teeth from the Middle Miocene.
