The history of the location dates back to the 13th century. Following recent archaeological research in the area, it can be assumed that there was a stins on this site during this time. Later, a stins was placed at this location that may have served as a count's residence. The exact construction and demolition dates are unknown, but there are mentions of this building. For instance, the building is depicted on a map from 1649 and is described in a chronicle from 1772.
