Visitor center De Gelderse Poort is located in the old coach house of house Aerdt in Herwen. You can find information about the history of the house and its surroundings. There is an exhibition about the nature reserve (the Ooijpolder), where the emphasis is placed on the birds and geese. You can also go there for routes, maps and books. Excursions and nature tours are also organised regularly.
