The square is named after the Bossche painter Jeroen Bosch. It is located on the Hinthamerstraat near the Jheronimus Bosch Art Center. The original function of the square was parking in front of the Sint-Jacobskerk. After the church was withdrawn from worship and the building was given a new purpose in 2006, the municipality of 's-Hertogenbosch decided to give this part of the street a different name.
