The Vughter Gate was a gate of the expansion of the second wall of the city. The gate is also known as Holy Cross Gate.
The building stood at the intersection of Vughterstraat and Kuipertjeswal in the Vughterpoort district. The building was built in 1399. As a result, the Antwerpse Poort had become superfluous and was quickly demolished. During the siege of the city in 1629, the gate was badly damaged and only rebuilt a hundred years later.
Around 1890 the rebuilt gate was demolished, at the same time as the Sint-Jans Poort and Hinthamer Poort.
