Hackfort Castle is also located in Vorden with a beautiful setting by the Baakse Beek river. The castle was already mentioned in the thirteenth century and in the 18th century it was converted into a country house. Hackfort Castle has long been owned by noble families, but now the building and everything owned by Natuurmonumenten has been left by the family. There is a yellow walking path of 1.5 kilometers around the castle, allowing you to admire the structure of various places. This route also passes by the carriage house (which is now a restaurant), the vegetable garden, and the watermill.
