The Grevelingendam is a dam between Schouwen-Duiveland (Zeeland) and Goeree-Overflakkee (South Holland). The dam is the fourth structure of the Delta Works.
Construction of the 6-kilometer-long dam began in 1958. The dam was partially built with a cableway that dropped stones from a height at the location where the dam was to be created.
