There were two schools in Sprundel that had always been under the same management.
Primary school St. Jan and the Maria primary school worked closely together.
In the school year 2007/2008, after years of preparation, it finally happened that both schools merged into one school.
The building of the Maria primary school was expanded for this purpose, and now the students from Sprundel are in a beautiful new building.
A total of 18 classrooms. The classrooms for the lower grades are located on the side of Hertogstraat, and those students use the entrance on that side.
The classrooms for the upper grades are located at the back, and those students can access the new playground via the stairs.
The toddler playgroup is now also part of bs Vinkenbos, and the classrooms are also at the front, on the side of Hertogstraat.
