In the dune row west of the dam, the camp hotel De Vechtstroom was established in 1953 according to the design of Jan Jans. In 1970, this became De Bron, a conference center for Christian organizations and churches, across all denominations. The growth of this center made an overlap with the business market necessary since 1985. Since 2006, the focus has mainly been on this business conference market. The center is now called Mooirivier Congreshotel and, after a quality improvement, has 350 beds and a restaurant for 180 people. The guests come from, among others, the business community, government, medical sector, and academia.
