Avitera Winery is the vineyard, the winery, the tasting room and terrace of the Baars family at Hartjensstraat number 7 in Azewijn.
When the company was bought from Huub's parents in 1991, the family already had the idea that there were other possibilities besides an agricultural business. Given the central location in the vicinity of Zeddam, 's-Heerenberg and the beautiful view of the Montferland, the idea of a campsite was soon born. In 2000 the time had come and mini camping De Hartjens was started. We were looking for something to give the company and the campsite added value. It was concluded that viticulture in all its facets is a good option. In 2004, with the help of many volunteers, the first vines were planted.

Open Monuments Day 12 September 2009 the terrace is also open.
