The "Rietveldsemolen" is a polder mill built around 1648. The mill is located on the west side of the sailing village of Rietveld at the end of the Rietveldse Vaart and about 1.5 km northeast of the village. The Rhineland Mill Foundation has owned the mill since 1967.
Originally, until 1966, the mill drained the Rietveldse and later the Riethoornsepolder approx. 705 ha and a delivery height of 1 to 1.50 meters. The mill is equipped with a paddle wheel (circuit drainage) and with an Old Dutch refugee.
In 1926 an Eriksson installation was installed as an auxiliary power, which was removed in 1970. The wooden construction of the octagon is probably from the year of construction, but the roof construction is probably from the beginning of the 20th century.
