The Strabrechtse Heide is an expansive heath landscape with beautiful vistas that served as a backdrop for various artists in the 1920s and 1930s. Go out and discover what attracted artists from that time to Heeze! The Strabrechtse Heide covers approximately 1,850 hectares, of which the majority is managed by Staatsbosbeheer. It is located to the north of the village of Heeze. Visitors are allowed to walk on most of the heath, but the paths are situated in such a way that animals and plants can lead an undisturbed existence.
Tips - There are regularly sheep herds found on the Strabrechtse Heide. - Natuurpoort De Plaetse is the starting point for a walk or bike ride through the Strabrechtse Heide.
