The Fort at the Drecht is located in the Uithoorn polder in the municipality of Uithoorn. The fort is part of the Defense Line of Amsterdam.
Fort model B was completed in 1911 and is part of the firing line between Fort bij Kudelstaart and Fort bij Uithoorn. Fort at the Drecht is situated in front of the line dike to keep existing buildings outside the firing line of the forts and to defend inundation works, such as the sluice in the Drecht. The wooden engineer's shed built in 1888 or 1889 is still present. The fort keeper's house has been demolished and a more modern house stands in its place.
