Nieuw-Amelisweerd, formerly Groenewoude, is a castle and knight's court town near Bunnik in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is located in the current Amelisweerd estate.
In 1224, knight Amelius uten Werde received a loan from the chapter of Oudmunster and built a knight's court town there. The name Amelisweerd is a corruption of Amelius' worth or Amelis-worth. On the death of Amelius, the estate was divided into three parts by his sons. Two parts form the current Oud-Amelisweerd, the third part the current Nieuw-Amelisweerd.
