The history of the Military Aviation Museum dates back to the sixties. In 1968, on the cradle of Dutch aviation, Soesterberg, the Air Force Museum was founded on the initiative of some air force employees. On 3 July 1968, Prince Bernhard opens the museum, which is housed in one of the hangars at Soesterberg Air Base.
The interesting museum shows the history of the Royal Netherlands Air Force and its predecessors. Admission is free.
