Sint Jansgildestraat number 52 (next to the church) is Café Eetcafé De Roos. In the patent lists of 1810-1811, there is only one tapper listed in Beek, and that is Johannes Rozendaal at De Roos. On pages 767-769 of 'Het Kerspel Beek in Liemers', there is a detailed description of the history of the building.
