The Galgenberg is one of the hills in the Montferland forest and nature reserve in the province of Gelderland and has a height of 66.8 meters. The hill is located just west of the Drieheuvelenweg, one of the two connecting roads between 's-Heerenberg and Zeddam. The hill takes its name from earlier times, when the Bergh gallows stood on the top of the hill. None of this is visible anymore. However, there is a panoramic view towards the north on a plateau right next to the top. There is also a water treatment plant on this plateau.
