Estate Jachtslot de Mookerheide has great allure. Allure that was already recognized at the beginning of the last century by His Royal Highness Prince Hendrik. In June 1940, the Germans requisitioned this beautiful castle and it became a country residence for the feared Waffen-SS. Many Dutch volunteers from that time can, sometimes with difficulty, relate to it.
