Tourist routes through the land of 'Waoter and Wiend' take you along river arms and marsh vegetation. In the direction of Tolkamer you will find the war graves of seven British airmen. Killed in June 1944. At that time, the skies here were filled with German night fighters and British bombers. It is estimated that more than 6000 aircraft from all belligerent countries met their end in the Netherlands. Each with a special story.
