The Bergherbos is an 1837 ha nature reserve, owned by Natuurmonumenten and the Huis Bergh foundation and is located in the municipality of Montferland. The Bergherbos is located on the foothills of the hills on which 's-Heerenberg is also located.
The hilly area consists largely of varied forest with fields, meadows and villages around it. It is located on a moraine complex from the penultimate ice age that continues into Germany. Here you have a wide view of the surroundings. The most famous hills are:
