Das Bergherbos ist ein 1837 ha großes Naturschutzgebiet, im Besitz von Natuurmonumenten und der Stiftung Huis Bergh und liegt in der Gemeinde Montferland. Das Bergherbos liegt an den Ausläufern der Hügel, auf denen auch 's-Heerenberg liegt.
Das hügelige Gebiet besteht zum großen Teil aus abwechslungsreichen Wäldern mit Äckern, Wiesen und Dörfern in der Umgebung. Es liegt auf einem Endmoränenkomplex aus der vorletzten Eiszeit, der sich bis nach Deutschland erstreckt. Hier hat man einen weiten Blick über die Umgebung. Die bekanntesten Hügel sind:
