Il Bergherbos è un'area naturale di 1837 ettari, di proprietà di Natuurmonumenten e della fondazione Huis Bergh, situata nel comune di Montferland. Il Bergherbos si trova sulle pendici delle colline su cui sorge anche 's-Heerenberg.
La zona collinare è per gran parte composta da boschi variati con campi, prati e villaggi circostanti. Si trova su un complesso di morene risalente all'ultima glaciazione che si estende in Germania. Qui si ha una vista panoramica sulla zona circostante. Le colline più famose sono:
