Varsselder is a Dutch village with nearly 700 inhabitants, located in the Gelderland Achterhoek, in the municipality of Oude IJsselstreek. The village lies along the main road from 's-Heerenberg to Ulft, directly to the west of Ulft. Until the municipal reorganization, it belonged to the former municipality of Gendringen. Together with the nearby hamlet of Veldhunten, it is often considered one village, Varsselder-Veldhunten. However, they are two separate cores. Varsselder is mentioned as a hamlet as early as the 15th century.
Since 1989, the Huntenpop Festival has been held every year in August. This event is organized by the Huntenpop Belangen Foundation. It is a pop festival featuring bands from both domestic and international acts. Since 2009, the Huntenpop Festival has been held in Ulft.
