The Westzanerpolder, not to be confused with the Polder Westzaan to the north of it, is one of the IJpolders that were drained since 1872 along the North Sea Canal. The polder is bordered on the northeast side by the Noorder IJdijk. On the west side, the polder is bordered by Zijkanaal D, which forms the connection between the Nauernasche Vaart and the North Sea Canal, and on the east side by Zijkanaal E, which forms the connection between the Westzaner-Overtoom and the North Sea Canal.
