The Molen van Waardenburg is a hexagonal thatched ground sailer, a grinding flour mill along the Waalbandijk river dike and owned by the municipality of Neerijnen. The current miller, A. Roefs, is a member of the Guild of Voluntary Molenaars.De mill and the adjacent allotments are protected villagescapes. Before 1780 there was almost certainly a standard mill, also known as a stake mill, on the site of this grist mill. The standerdmolen was blown over, repaired, and finally demolished around 1780 and replaced by the current hexagonal mill. Parts of the old standerdmolen can still be found in the current mill. The mill, located on the Waalbandijk, was drained and leased by the van Aken family for more than 200 years. During the First World War (1914-1918) the mill was used to generate electricity by miller A. van Ielen.
