The Windkorenmolen of Wenum is a thatched ground sailer. This mill can be found on the Marleweg in Wenum. It was the third mill on this site in a short time; Two earlier mills burned down in 1908 and 1913 respectively. The current mill is not newly built on this site, but was built in 1840 as a polder mill in Baambrugge. The current owners, the Vorderman family, are heirs of F. Vorderman, who bought the polder mill in 1913 to use it as a flour mill. In 1924 an auxiliary engine was installed to be able to grind when there was no wind, so that people did not have to divert to the water mill in Wenum or in Vaassen. The mill is equipped with the Fauel system with automatic brake valves on both rods. The mill is equipped with two pairs of grinding stones, which are used to grind grain on a voluntary basis. Between 2005 and 2008 the mill was completely restored.
