Luddeweer is a village in the Dutch province of Groningen. It has 21 houses and 55 inhabitants and is actually more of a hamlet than a village.
The core of the village is formed by a few raised yards or house mounds. It is mentioned in 1488 as Ludewere or Luddeweer. According to the most common explanation, the name originated from the personal name Ludde with the ending -weer . Around 1445 a certain Lijudde inde Ham is mentioned, who owned land in Buttinge were on the Graauwedijk below Wittewierum.
