Tripscompagnie is a ribbon village on one of the canals in Groningen in the Netherlands. It is located in two municipalities: Midden-Groningen and Veendam.The village originated along the Tripscompagniesterdiep, which was dug in 1640 by order of Adriaan Trip to extract peat from the surrounding bogs. The village was founded eight years later. After the dyeing, arable farming has become important. Many farms in the village are of the Oldambtster type.
