Zuidwolde is a village in the municipality of Het Hogeland in the province of Groningen in the Netherlands. The place had 1,020 inhabitants in 2019, including the scattered houses around it. Zuidwolde is practically adjacent to the urban area of the city of Groningen. To the north of the village lies Noordwolde, which is considerably smaller. The growth of Zuidwolde is primarily due to its location by the Boterdiep.
Due to its proximity to the city, it is frequently visited by walkers and cyclists. The location of the village café Moeke Vaatstra with a garden next to the church of Zuidwolde, which was restored in 2002, along the Boterdiep contributes to the fact that many people take breaks here. A artwork named Boekkunst by Hugo Hol is located near the former library in the village.
