Wekerom is a village in the northeastern part of the municipality of Ede in the Dutch province of Gelderland, situated in the Gelderland Valley, near the Veluwe. The village has 2,715 inhabitants. Most residents are conservative Christians and belong to the Reformed Church or Reformed Communities. The SGP received 60.61% of the votes in the village during the municipal elections of 2010, the CDA 11.42%, ChristenUnie 9.26%, GemeenteBelangen 4.23%, PvdA 2.07%, Burgerbelangen 1.53%, GroenLinks/PE 1.44%, and D66 1.17%.
