Alem, Maren en Kessel is a former municipality in the Dutch province of North Brabant, which existed from 1821 to 1958.
During the division of municipalities during the French occupation of 1794-1814, the villages of Alem, Maren and Kessel on the left bank of the Meuse downstream of Lith became three independent municipalities. Already in 1819 the three villages decided to merge and on January 1, 1821 the municipality of "Alem, Maren and Kessel" was founded. The hamlets of 't Wild and Gewande, further downstream, were also part of this municipality. Around 1900, a border correction took place, whereby Gewande became part of the former municipality of Empel and Meerwijk. This municipality was in turn annexed by the municipality of 's-Hertogenbosch in 1971.
