Description

Bontebrug is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Gelderland. The village is located between Ulft and Silvolde. The residents are focused on Ulft as far as shopping and recreation are concerned. Bontebrug has about 180 inhabitants and is located on the east side of the Oude IJssel, on the other side is Ulft. Bontebrug used to belong to the municipality of Wisch, nowadays to the municipality of Oude IJsselstreek. Incidentally, Bontebrug was also called Nieuwdorp for a while. This was around 1967. This caused confusion and has been changed back to Bontebrug.
