Tolkamer is a small town with 2,560 inhabitants in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is located at a distance of 1 kilometre from Lobith and is the first landing point on the Bijlandsch Kanaal, as seen from Germany. Another attraction is the water sports area "de Bijland"; from this lake there is an open connection to the Rhine. This connection is mainly used by the many motorboat owners to make a trip to the beaches along the Rhine. The landscape around Tolkamer offers many opportunities for cyclists. The neighbouring towns are easily accessible by the many cycle paths that criss-cross the landscape. Germany is also within easy reach. Via the ferry from Millingen (bicycle ferry over the Rhine) or via Lobith to Elten, where you can make beautiful trips in a hilly, wooded area.
