Description

Oosterhout is a neighborhood in the municipality of Nijmegen in the nijmegen-noord district. In the period 1996-2009 the residence name Oosterhout was municipality Nijmegen. The district is part of the Waalsprong urban development project. Huis Oosterhout is an old estate, with a monumental country house, rebuilt around 1840 after the last major flood in 1820. In history, the Waaldijk has broken through several times, wheels such as the Waaiensteinkolk still bear witness to this.
