Exel is a village in the Dutch municipality of Lochem. Exel is located near Lochem. The village consists of four streets: the Oude Lochemseweg, the Exelseweg, 't Veld, and the Vossebosweg. Exel has a central area with about 55 homes and 170 inhabitants, as well as a large rural area. Traditionally, it is an area measuring 6.5 km in length and 1.5 km in width, nestled between the estates of Verwolde and Ampsen and bordering the forests of Ampsen.
