The Kootwijkerzand is a drifting sand area in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is the largest drifting sand area in Western Europe.
The nature reserve is 700 hectares in size and is located on the western part of the Veluwe, within the much larger forestry Kootwijk near Kootwijk. South of the Kootwijkerzand lies the Harskampse Zand, to the east the village of Radio Kootwijk. About ten kilometers to the southwest on the Veluwe, southwest of the village of Wekerom, lies the more than 500 hectare Wekeromse Zand, which includes a smaller drifting sand area.
