Where is every soldier spoiled?

This fort is part of the Defence Line of Amsterdam, just like the other forts on our route. Special about this fortress are two restored round buildings with a lifting dome. That dome could move up when shots had to be fired. Back down, the dome was barely visible and difficult to hit.

As on other forts, soldiers were stationed at the fort during the First World War. To encourage the soldiers, itinerant artist Koos Speenhof visited various forts, including this fort. He recorded this soldier's song (excerpt)
