National scattering site Delhuyzen is a scattering field that has been located on the former estate of Delhuyzen since 1989, on the southern edge of the Veluwe. The site belongs to the municipality of Arnhem. The area is approximately 80 hectares.
The scattering field is situated in a nature area. As a burial site, it is somewhat comparable to a natural burial site. The area consists of undulating heath fields, pine forests, and deciduous trees such as oaks, birches, and beeches. The site is accessible from sunrise to sunset. There is no waiting area available. The National scattering site Delhuyzen is also home to Scottish Highlanders, which can graze here. These Scottish Highlanders mainly stay in the National Park Veluwezoom, and have gained a larger living area since 2011 by relocating a number of fences.
