The street name Waardsedijk refers to the dike that this path runs over, which goes from Woerden to Waarder. Straight in the extension of this old road, you can see the church tower of the Bonaventura church in the distance. Now, this church tower is less visible due to the many buildings, but in the past, it must have been a beacon in the open polder landscape.
