This house is an old country estate that was enlarged in 1930 when it was used as a monastery If you look closely you can see that the right half with front door was the real country estate. The monastery was bought by the municipality of Loenen in 1995 and served as a town hall until 2011. The newly built round extension on the left was the council chamber. Since the merger in 2011 of Loenen, Breukelen and Maarssen into a new municipality Stichtse Vecht, a few departments of the municipality are located here. There are plans to sell the building. The tea dome on the Vecht is a super romantic wedding location. Interest? View www.stichtsevecht.nl/trouweninstichtsevecht.nl
