The Koerheuvel is a hill in the municipality of Rhenen in the Dutch province of Utrecht. The hill is located to the west of Rhenen on the municipal border and is part of the Utrecht Ridge. To the northwest lies the Thymse Berg in the forest area of Lijster eng and to the southwest is the Donderberg. The ridge ends on the eastern side of Rhenen with the Laarschenberg and the Grebbeberg/Heimenberg.
The water tower in Rhenen or Water Tower De Koerheuvel was designed by architect H. van Hoogdalem and was built in 1935. The tower is located on Koerheuvelweg on a hill of about 51 meters, the Koerheuvel. The tower served as a water tower from May 8, 1937, until September 1, 1989. It is now an apartment complex. The tower itself has nine floors and a height of 42.7 meters.
