Description

One of the six world peace flames in the world burns in Cadzand-Dorp. The others are in Berlin, Memphis and Sydney, among others. West Zeeuws-Vlaanderen "knows" what the desire for peace means. Not only has the region been scarred in its ongoing battle against the water. The Eighty Years' War and the Second World War also wreaked havoc in this region. At the cost of many casualties and great material damage, peace has been restored time and time again.
