Flood Barrier De Kromme Nol
The Kromme Nol Barrier is located in the Heusden Canal. The sluice was constructed after very high water levels occurred in 1995, showing that the dikes along the Heusden Canal and the dammed Maas provided insufficient protection. The Kromme Nol was put into operation in 2001 and is managed and maintained by the Rivierenland water authority.
