The Nelson Mandela Bridge in Arnhem is a bridge over the river Nederrijn that connects the Arnhem city center and Arnhem-North via Eldenseweg to Arnhem-South. The bridge is located on the west side of the center and is still called the Nieuwe Rijnbrug by many Arnhemmers, in contrast to the Oude Rijnbrug, which is located to the east of the center. Until 1987, the bridge was called Roermondspleinbrug.
