Dry valley of Colmont

The Colmont Dry Valley is an asymmetric dry valley, without a large watercourse, located to the south and southwest of the hamlet of Colmont in Dutch South Limburg. The dry valley begins just south of the village of Ubachsberg, between the village and the hamlet of Mingersberg/Trintelen, close to the Vrouwenheide. It descends westward and ends at the hamlet of Etenaken where the valley opens into the Geuldal. The Vrakelbergerweg and Vijfbundersweg run through the valley and are aligned with each other. To the north of the valley lies a ridge parallel to it, which is home to the hamlets of Kruishoeve and Colmont, with the cape named Vrakelberg as part of it. To the south of the valley lies a parallel ridge on which the hamlets of Elkenrade and Eyserheide are situated. Just before the mouth, the dry valley of Elkenradergrub joins the Colmont Dry Valley.
